Woof, ruff, werf

That is to say, Hi, it's me, Scrappy Beagle.  Dad's watching football so he's letting me tell you about our walk Sunday.  It was such a pretty day, and we did something we hadn't done in a long time, which I'll get to in a second.  But first...

This was the closest we ever got to him before he flew off.  Usually Dad has to REALLY zoom to take a picture, but this bird was in a Sunday daze.

Dad stops and takes pictures of all sorts of weird things.

Then we did what I was talking about before- we went to The Spot!

For you guys that don't know The Spot, it is the hardest to get to place in our woods.  When we camp out here, NO ONE can find us!

Then we ran into these three deer a couple of times.  I told Daddy they went north, and I was right!  We took the back road and came out above them.  Huh?  Oh, yeah.  Daddy only got pictures of two of them.

Someday I'm gonna hide that camera...

(Note from Daddy:  You didn't seem to mind when Jessica took your picture....

Yeah, well, uhmm, that is....

  1. Hi, Scrappy! Hoosier favorite blog buddy? It's I/me - Shady! If your daddy is busy watching Monday Night Football, tell him that the Indianapolis Colts are looking pretty shabby this season and that they wouldn't even come out of the locker room if they had to take on the mighty Nittany Lions of Penn State!

That spot in the woods with the stream running through where you guys camp looks exactly like the woods near my uncle's farm where I used to camp with my counsins when I was young.

It was nice to see these pictures of you, my canine compadre. Take care! (Granny C. says howdy!)

    1. If you hope to tease my Daddy about football, you'll have to do better than that- he's hated the Colts since he was a little boy! He also mentions that the mighty Nittany Lions got plucked by the Owls of Temple in the season opener, and possibly even the Colts might not fear them.

The Spot is buried down an incline full of big shrubs, on the edge of a creek 4 feet below the level of the surrounding land. As hard to get to as it is to see from anywhere else!

Tell Granny she smells like possums.

  2. Scrappy:
Tell Daddy he took some really GREAT pictures.
Love all the birds and that spider web...I take it there was no one wearing a red and blue outfit around.

THE SPOT...everyone should have one, no matter how many legs you have!.

    Family photos are fun, too.
    :)

    Stay safe up there.
