I think the point of that is, don't focus on the hurt, but PAST it.CWMartinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06798867734074134647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5822869016413307981.post-16321792608429757712016-05-01T18:43:23.164-04:002016-05-01T18:43:23.164-04:00Not bad for not seeing the end at the beginning......Not bad for not seeing the end at the beginning...CWMartinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06798867734074134647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5822869016413307981.post-3845899365416030272016-05-01T17:54:19.752-04:002016-05-01T17:54:19.752-04:00Another interesting postAnother interesting postJo-Anne's Ramblingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11418152399382818709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5822869016413307981.post-60399693889561080532016-05-01T10:33:43.420-04:002016-05-01T10:33:43.420-04:00Any time there is a parting with a friend, particu...Any time there is a parting with a friend, particularly a friend in Christ, it is painful. We read about it in the Bible and it's given a few sentences. It doesn't tell of the pain that all parties must have felt. And maybe both parties were feeling righteous (and possibly superior to the other) in the separation. It is only with the passage of time that all parties recognized the true need for the separation. At that time, acceptance and forgiveness and understanding occurred. And maybe Paul recognized that we all have different gifts (and was even thinking of Barnabus, Silas, and Mark) as he wrote that passage in Romans... as well as the many other believers he's met along the way. We all have a place, but it's not necessarily the SAME place.Robinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14932408372240147454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5822869016413307981.post-73988688606583293252016-05-01T09:45:39.671-04:002016-05-01T09:45:39.671-04:00Chris:
---Good point made w/ the "gifts"...Chris:
---Good point made w/ the "gifts" from Romans. Could not agree more.
---And the issue made with tolerance hits on so many places, especially in today's world.
---Church service in a bar? That's a new one, even for me. Can't see the result in that, but I do understand the motive behind it (Lion's den kinda stuff).
---I also agree that we ALL don't get "all the gifts", and while we may become more proficient in one or two disciplines (as God wants us to be), there are times when we might find ourselves with a "temp" condition of a gift we never realized.
But, as you mention here, we must strive to be TRUE to whatever gift God (through the Spirit) feels we need in our ministry, no matter how large or small that might be.

Excellent post.

Stay safe up there, brother.
Bob G.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09222203353717749897noreply@blogger.com
