To wear wool in this heat, you gotta be stupid... or stoned. |
Whole buncha little kids on a tour. They were as fun to watch as the goats. |
Laurie, what ARE you doing with those goats? |
Uhh... bad time for a picture? (BTW, you should have heard him grunt! "RRRRRRRUUHHHHH.... RRRRRRUUUUUUHHHH!!!" |
Laurie was told they like being petted. She'll believe anything... |

Boy, Scrappy would LOVE him... |
From the safari sky ride |
We saw something moving on the rock, but had to blow it up to see what they were. Maybe if we'd noticed Mommy off to the side... |
These are satu... sita... uhmm... |

Oh, and Bob, who needs Drew Blair when you got Lee Ann Okuly??!! |
Wow! I would love to visit this zoo!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what is better - the pics or your captions. giggle Both great. I miss the petting zoo. We used to take the kids all the time when they were little and I would still go but they have raised the cost to almost $25 per person. I understand it is expensive to keep animals [wild at that] in the midst of suburbia, but that is a bit much for us when the National Zoo is about $6 in gas away & free.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good time :)
$25 per for a PETTING zoo?? We got both of us in for $27! And they do a great job of making it a family experience. Maybe you all should come here. Have a nice day at the zoo, and me 'n Pooldad can insult the Reds on channel 8 afterwards.

ReplyDeleteThose are some GREAT pictures and some funny-ass captions...LOL.
Love the sleeping Leopard (crouching Chris?)
And how LONG was that giraffe tongue???
(pretty damn, I'd bet)
I will say that Lee Ann sure puts stride into a man's step, that's for sure...
(you lucky dog, you)
Considering that Philly has the OLDEST zoo in America, I DO prefer the Ft. Wayne CHildren's zoo because of access, family experience, parking, and pricing.
(I'm also prone to child-like exuberance, so that works too)
Can't beat it for the cost...seriously.
Excellent post (mmmmm, Lee Ann....)
Stay safe up there.
Fun! I love going to the zoo. That reminds me, I have coupons to the zoo that are about to expire.
