We took a longer walk yesterday. Trudge through the woods, down to the river, and back up the frozen banks to the creek.
|
Even at the bottom of the river, there's no excuse for littering. |
|
Halfway across the creek on the ice... |
|
To cross the rest, we had to cross Rush Island. |
|
The other side in sight... |
|
Safe on the soccer field road |
And here to show you how much ice we crossed, along with the new foot bridge and where we saw the foxes a few weeks back...(click to read better)
By this morning, though, I highly doubt the crossing would've been possible...
|
The Hump'N'Dump was a mess... |
|
Frosty on borrowed time. |
Chris:
ReplyDeleteOkay, now you KNOW this city is messed up when the litter consists of TRASH BINS...LOL
Wonder if you could hear the ice cracking as you crossed...?
Frosty on "borrowed time"...LMAO.
(Victim of a drive-by?)
Good stuff.
Stay safe up there.
Not a lot of crunching- the creek wasn't deep, the snow was, and we followed where the smart animals went.
DeleteHow appropriate that Frosty was so close to the handicapped parking sign.
ReplyDeleteFor all the good it did him...
DeletePoor, Poor, Pitiful Frosty!
ReplyDeleteHe'd better tell everyone he loves them and make a clean slate of the past because... it appears the doctors have given him only 2.5 days to live.
'Bye-'bye, Frosty! We'll miss you.
Anyone have a tissue? I feel tears welling up in my eyes.

It rained today and got in the fifties. He probably didn't get that 2.5 days.
DeleteIs it warmer or did Scrappy lift his leg on Frosty? Lol
ReplyDeleteWe didn't get that close to Frosty, but there was an "aborted" snowman that Scrappy did put a high yellow line on.
DeleteThat's quite a walk, especially in the snow and ice! Hope you have good boots!
ReplyDeleteNo boots, just a pair of "non-summer" shoes.
