Yep, it's been building for a few days now- no, not that, the pictures I want to share with y'all! So without further doo-doo, here we go!
Last Tuesday we got some rain, so it was that last Wednesday featured water in the canal! That woke up hibernating bugs in the once-dried mud- and that meant duck buffet!
They were going absolutely nuts! Even the swamp five were there....
Friday I took some "cheer up Laurie" pics after a bit of a rough night...

Hi, Big Guy! |

That's one thirsty tree... |

Mandatory my butt, I'm going straight! |

Just in case there was any doubt as to the idiots tearing apart our woods for the expansion of frisbee golf... |
The future of our peaceful woods- loudmouth jocks, dragging bottles they will empty and leave in the woods and a radio turned up high enough to drown them out when normally talking, and shouting whenever they come close to a target...
Saturday, we get some Peanut, Pistachio, and Lily....

"Cheese!" Serious, as soon as he saw the camera... |
Great selection of nature and family photos.☺ I have no idea what frisbee golf is, but, it sounds like there's a bunch of obnoxious players. Sad to think the peace of your idyllic wooded area will be shattered by such louts.
ReplyDeleteA lot like regular golf, except instead of ball hit into cup, it's frisbee thrown into chain basket. And I suppose it's not so much obnoxious ans me wishing they'd stop the wheels of progress and just let nature be.
DeleteWe would love to walk in your neck of the woods. Nature beats mall walking any day of the week. And holding a sleeping baby on the chest? that is part of heaven.
ReplyDeleteAgreed on all counts! Even when said baby is more wiggly for gampaw than for Gammaw...
DeleteWhat awesome photos, I feel like I enjoyed a nice walk without leacing my house.
