Becket's Run Trail

They just opened up a new trail near us, and Misty and I tried it out this morning... 2.6 miles according to Google Earth.  At first, it was just a normal trail, but... well, just wait.

And, we start...

Misty moves into unfamiliar territory.  I've never taken her this way, which is the way to Shoaff..

Stripes and sign are new since last I was here...

First time under the road for her

Next new thing for me- the trail branches left

And now, I'm in unfamiliar territory

A short share the road...

...then we hang a right, and we're off!

Lots of little side trails... Scrappy woulda loved this

A flock of cranes...

Our first stop for water.  Misty didn't drink hers, so she wore it

Not a tent city for illegals, just socceristas

Hmm... a bridge and a turn...

More side trails...

We thought it odd to have such a remote house... but soon found we were at the start of an addition

First sighting of the river

Overlook bench- cool idea

Neighborhood bridge

Ah, now I know where we are- across from the boat landing at Shoaff!

Chipmunk

I thought that was a railroad track up there from a distance, but it was actually a guardrail and a fence

Now's where it gets really interesting...

It was upside down, but it warns us that there's a protected wetland on this side.  Wetland?  Up here?

From here, it's just flat gorgeous!

Finally, the end of the road ahead

She wants to keep going, her feet likely do not

Holy cow, we're clear up across from Ed's Engines?? We're calling Mommy for a ride home!
