The further adventures of Misty and her dad...
Gorgeous Monday afternoon |
Hawk making the rounds |
One last burst of color |
The camera has a hard time picking up God's glory in nature |
Our, "That's odd" moment for the week |
A "ghost" in the wood |
Climbing Mushroom Ridge |
Uh, the view's the other way |
We step ahead in time to Wednesday...
Bunny of the week |
Off-roading |
Pretty remote tree to be so marked |
This doggie was behind us prior to off-roading, ahead after, and thankfully turned the other way eventually |
Ghost part two |
Misty laughing b/c my butt got wet taking these |
We were right on the line here between cloudy and possible rain and nice |
Thursday afternoon, I had a nooner...
Matching new hat and shirt, didn't realize I had a smear on the lens |
There, now you see it |
Dude having a problem starting the line-painter |
Lotsa nuts, no leaves |
Entering the 'fallen buckeye trip hazard zone' |
Gray squirrel |
Never saw brackets that high before |
Leaving buckeye hazard zone, enter acorn hazard zone |
Tried to get that plane lol |
More off-roading |
The now-dry arboreal ocean |
Railroad tie en mosse... |
I had to climb down this for her to play in the creek |
That's new... |
This rock looks like a butt |
Leaving acorn hazard zone, enter hickory nut hazard zone |
This nice lady discer said hi to Misty. Misty checked her pocket for treats. |
Leave acorn hazard zone, enter buckeye severe hazard zone |
Lovely afternoon...
Return of the hawk |
This leaf looked like a star |
And Friday...
Doesn't seem so long ago we had to be out before 6 AM to beat the dawn. Current time, 7:55. |
Wooly Worm winter forecast- rough, not terrible |
At 48F, I could do without this stiff a breeze... |
A dozen steps later, sun's out and breeze dies as if on cue... |
Trash can guys are out... must be an event weekend |
Swamp is so dry, squirrels are about the only guests |
Too cold for the river, thanks |
Just struck me here how hard it is for a camera to paint the contrasts like God can |
Taking Misty a new direction |
Not exactly scenic, but she didn't care. |
It's been about six years since Scrappy and I came through here. This was going under reno then. Doesn't look much improved. |
The Parkview therapy building was an empty circular parking lot then... |
This wasn't here, either |
"Check out that pretty doggie... hey, wait..." |
Misty was confused going through an unfamiliar woods- frankly, I was too, it has been 6 years |
"Wait... this is familiar..." |
"It's MY woods! Yay!" |
Thanks for the nature tour! Somebody must be missing that blanket they dropped on the walkway.
ReplyDeleteSometimes, what you see through the viewfinder doesn't look nearly as good when it's downloaded. You can adjust contrast, colour, etc. of any photo right on your computer, though.
Love the snazzy hat and matching shirt! ☺
Thanks! I do have (at least for now) the program that went with the camera, but it can't touch God either. BTW, there are matching shorts...
DeleteOh, please post a photo of the entire outfit! ☺
DeleteCheck back if/when we get an Indian Summer- or spring comes, lol!
DeleteSuch lovely photos of a nice walk indeed
ReplyDeleteIt was!
Deletethecontemplativecat here that wasn't just a walk! This was trek through God's world.
