So we have deferred from a lot of walking this weekend because it has been COLD. Not ridiculous cold, but certainly "I'm not ready for this" cold. We did go out Friday...

Overcast, a bit breezy, but not terrible

This doggie and its master, playing ball in the distance, and two walkers near the end, were the only living things we saw

No sun today...

|
Misty took me off trail for some reason. And just when I was about to accuse her of going in circles, she found...
|
|
...a fresh Deer kill. It's ribcage had been opened, couldn't have been more than a couple nights old. Afterwards, speculating on how someone "ripped your lungs out, Jim", I wondered if it was Werewolves of London again.

For a change, lots of water about- most of it frozen.

Even the canal was reasonably filled.

"River, on the rocks, please."

Since this is such a light fare, I thought I'd share some 'back through the years' pics, too. Not all on this exact day, but within about 2 weeks...

You and Misty enjoyed that not-quite-winter walk. Will you get snow? Mail some to us.
ReplyDeleteIf I could, I'd teleport all future snow to you! Misty would get mad, she likes to run and eat it, but I'm getting too old to appreciate it!
DeleteI enjoyed the walk while I sit in pain
ReplyDeleteHalf the fun of walks is sharing them with friends that can't get out so well.
