Pictures on Thursday??

Sure, so let me tell you why.  Since our company was bought by a much bigger company, things haven't gone exactly well.  We lost one major customer, the industry is suffering from both economy and inventory surplus (Thank you to those who believed the Biden economy would do anything, and kept ordering stuff people weren't buying), and with another customer looking at a shutdown for a couple weeks over the Fourth, The "parent company" wanted to know if we could shut down for those weeks.

Our sister plant said, "No," because they are so inefficient, they were working overtime, while we were getting short weeks even though were were picking up a good deal of THEIR work.  (Mind you, the HQ of our company is at their plant.) We said, "Give us the first 2 weeks of this week, and we'll go from there." So it was decided we would at least be shut down Wednesday, Thursday (the holiday day), and then next week.

Except nobody bothered to tell customer service, and they kept sending us orders for next week.  My Plant Manager had to inform them.  Which didn't hurt me (except I was cutting fabric for these orders for that Monday for all of one week and parts of 2 others- it was at least twice a normal shipping Monday plus), but our sewers and our PM were up against it.  We haven't had a shipping guy since last fall, and when we did get one, he had an allergy to physical labor, a fear of our forklift, and a bad tendency to miss Mondays (AKA our heaviest shipping day).  So now the sewers had to have this mammoth set of orders done by Tuesday, and the PM and Production Manager would have to come in during shutdown to ship it.  None of which effected me except tangentially, and I started 11 days off Wednesday morning.

And we started with a walk on the first day in almost as long that it wasn't too humid to walk around the yard, let alone.

I guess she's tasting the morning air...

No more did we enter the trails than we saw a bunny and a deer...

Later, we saw another bunny, but I had a time capturing him...

Mainly because right before my first attempt, this guy ran up his butt.

Near the alumni pond.  Not even going to try to explain.

More abandoned clothing at the Landing

Trying and failing to get the Oriole- maybe his butt, there...

Only raspberries I found- not ready.

Planning on a trip to Shoaff tomorrow morning- see you then!
