...you wake up, and time has slipped away... Gotta love Paul Anka! Anyway, to keep you busy till I put up Johnny Appleseed Meat-Lovers Festival pictures later on, here's what's got snapped recently...
Mostly, flowers now are morning glories... |
...along with this yellow nonsense. |
Early morning Wednesday |
"...I'm telling you, it just went by!" |
Will the goal mouth swallow you before then?
Thursday night...
The bluebird of happiness. |
Mama and the babies were in the ravine again, because they can stay out of sight until you're on top of them. I was trying to get a better shot, but SOMEBODY decided that a den beneath a fallen branch HAD to be checked out, and made a LOT of noise... and got a boot in the butt for his efforts. |
No evidence of autumn in the leaves yet... |
Berries over the river |
Greenway Commission: We'll work on the erosion problem as soon as I&M does their work on the lines in the canal feeder.
I&M: We'll get started once the highway department finishes the bridge.
Highway Dept.: We'll be done soon... high water in the river slowed us down.
River: SPLASH!!! |
Friday afternoon, once the clouds went away...
Our crossing, full of water. |
Cute little orange guys. |
Scrappy was kicking up a constant cloud of these little yellow butterflies. |
We came down dead tree road, and mama was standing straight down in the woods. |
Once we rounded the bend going down the new trail, we ran into her and the fawns again. This baby was peeking around trees at us. |
Mama's two troublemakers. |
Fawn #1 split. Fawn #2 looked back at mama to see what to do. |
"...and don't forget to write!" |
I did then decide to shoot a little video of mama as she joined them. You'll see she hurt a back leg somehow- perhaps that's why she hasn't been so willing to pose lately.
The early morning photo over the water is just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Sometimes I hesitate taking those, because there are thousands of them out there. But you can't have enough beauty in your life.

YOu have such a good eye for subjects.
You're the Ansel Adams of Fort Wayne...or a darn good facsimile...!
Perhaps you could build a portfolio and hawk your talents?
'Ya never know until you give it a shot.
(Besides, the media outlets provide free logo shirts and umbrellas...LOL)
