Vacation/Mothers Day 2 and 3

Well, two different kind of days Saturday and Sunday...

First Saturday's walk, a look at the beautiful colors...

...as Misty watches a bunny hop away.

Even Big Guy, who regally delays budding till last, is greening up.

I honestly have no idea what she thought she saw up there...

All manner of odd critters out there....

Meanwhile, not far away...

And after standing there taking pictures for 5 minutes, Misty sees the doe....

Later, a stop at the Turtle Bar....

Sure miss the old wood bridge....

Once again, scandalous Mr and Mrs Duck are in the weeds...

Later, KC and Lily came over with Mothers Day gifts for Laurie....

"Thank you for loving me like your own"...


That brings us to Sunday.  The morning consisted of a trip to the Bark Park where she got her run on (Misty, not Laurie); Church, with her in my lap as usual (again, Misty), lunch and a nap.  We thought about a walk right after we got up, but....

...perhaps we shall wait a bit...

Soon, the rain and winds come....

However, within the hour...

So off we went.  By halfway through, the sun was gone again....

Even with the rain, the Duck Bar still shut down.

And the river still down.

Is there some reason, with ticks as bad as they are, you HAVE to walk through the tall grass?

Then it's Shenan's turn to pay tribute to Mom Laurie....

It's a perennial (unless Laurie kills it) called a Sun Star- related to, believe it or not, asparagus...

This is a cool concept!

"Well, no one told ME I was supposed to get something for Mothers Day!"
