Yes, vacation- not only did I decide to take the entire Memorial week off, but work threw in a free day as we were way ahead due to our superhuman efforts (well, we did work hard, and we're caught up to June 7 give or take). Today was the second of our opening 80F days- but it started dropping by 7 PM as we have another "gift from Canada" coming in to cool off tomorrow before we move on to "Holy cow, it's hot" on Friday and the foreseeable future. Thus a great night to go get some Daddy- Doggie exercise.

"Yeah? So let's get at it..."
"...NOW!" |
Temp is down to 72F, and breezy. In short, a great evening!
Spit bugs alive and well in the thistles
Wow, not a practice, a real game!
Tulip trees dropping their flowers
Tranquil night at the Alumni pond
Hey, I almost missed the heron
Closest I ever got to one- he never moved!
Lovebirds above the pretty flowers
Daddy spots a varmint- Hey! Stand back up!
There, that's better
"Crap, there's the dog!"
Don't worry- Misty was sniffing, hearing, and (somewhat) pursuing the one in the canal behind us
Here she is where MY varmint went- apparently to hard to access
The river from the end of California Road's ruins
Impatient doggie looking for a spot to wade in- watching the two blackbirds that were neckin' below the grass line take off
The sweet smell is everywhere
Believe it or not, home is right through there
And a bunny to make up for the one I missed at the pond.

Vacation may or may not mean I take a week (or two) off the M10 show, haven't decided.
Such bloody nice photos, time off work is wonderful even if we don't go away just chill at home
