Three sets this week, the first was from Monday after work...
| Cloudy, icky looking |
| Cut the grass on the canal since last we walked |
| He was yelling at us |
| Rain made not a dent at the Swamp |
| Shared the landing with a couple of little fishermen |
| and some 'shrooms |
On to Wednesday...
| Much better |
| Something getting re-assembled |
| There was a squirrel giving us a dirty look there... either he moved or I missed. |
| By the river, so many acorns I felt 'em through my soles |
| Can she find the hidden trail? It's been a while... |
| Answer: No. Abort and go around the long way. |
| At the Duck "Pond" |
| This is usually perma-wet. Thought we'd mosey in and nose around |
On to this AM...
| Nice to beat the sun up and still sleep till 0720 |
| Now here starts a fun story. Those two specks are crows. They circled around for a while... |
| ...then one landed here, clearing the crossbar of other small birds. Soon, the second crow was circling with more buddies... |
| ...and every pass, another crow would land there. |
| Once they got to 4, they started leaving with every pass. Once they had all lifted off, they flew away across the river. |
| This marker has become the unofficial 'lost and found' The keys have been there for a while. The jacket showed up a couple nights ago. The CBD rolling papers are new. |
| Ran into Old Boy and Oreo, had a nice chat later. |
| Couple little Woodys at the Swamp |
| See the one laying low on the left? They were taking turns, one at a time, splashing their wings in the water to clean up. |
| Well, the rain didn't change South Canal from dry to wet, but it did change it from dried scom to verdant greens. |
thecontemplativecat here. You and Misty have so fun adventures. I am envious.
ReplyDeleteYou should have been here for Scrappy....
DeleteNice photos
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nature tours! Misty is a lucky girl to get such long walks. 🦮 Crows are so interesting - and noisy! Zoey doesn't like them and barks, but they won't move. 😆
ReplyDeleteUsually they don't tend to let us very close!
DeleteGreat pictures! Too bad winter's coming.
