But of course, a couple stories first. This week at work was better than last- but not by much. 8 hr Monday, then 10, 8, and 5.5, as inventory closes in.Though seeings as our company twice in a week proved it can't tell the difference between a 7 and an 8, I don't know I'm all that inclined to bother. I've got to say, though, it isn't all the company; a couple of pallets of fabric we haven't used in 4 years, and just copied the old inventory tag for 3, I am lobbying to get rid of, so I checked said tag for accuracy. Not only was it 100 yards MORE than it was supposed to be- but a mysterious second partial roll that had never been accounted for had showed up. Go figure. (and no, it was 100 more without that roll.)
Anyway, here's a couple of leftovers from Halloween:
| How'd that get in there? |
Believe it or not, this was the first pictures I took on October 30th in 11 years! Next day, a rather large beer-or-treater stopped in...
| "Rooby rooby roo!" |
At last that brings us to our rather melancholy Friday afternoon walk...
| Uh-oh... looks a little ominous, but I promised... |
| On the other hand, we are back to 'cut through into the woods' time... |
Successful entry! (AKA I didn't trip on anything...)
| Sea of yellow |
Life is short and cliffs are high I don't have to close my eyes to see us in flight... |
| Mod tree |
| Misty's least favorite time- they shut the dam upstream |
Nobody on the road nobody on the beach a feeling in the air
summer's out of reach |
| And at the Swamp, it rained... for a few yards |
| Last flower of the year... |
| IDK why they moved the mammoth (sorry sports fans, this is NOT a mastodon), but I'll bet he's miffed at getting discs thrown at him |
| This looked like a cloud "waterfall" |
