M10 show week #87

Well, back to the usual fun here on the M10 show, with... yes?

Elvis:  Too lazy to have me on the show last week, huh?

Whatever dude, I was about wiped, Misty's newfound youth is killing me!

Oh, sure.  Blame the doggie.

You wanna try breaking the 10-minute mile with her, go ahead!  Anyway, first things first- something I promised as soon as it finally came out.  Although the song has dropped towards the bottom of my top 15 this week, here's that song by Ft Wayne's own Loveseat!...

******************************************************

There will be one legit top 10 debut later on, but right n...

Right Now, yer gonna pay me back wages fer last week...

For one, you don't get paid... for the other, I have evidence you weren't doing too bad....

This is for 'sail' on eBay, go buy it!

Wouldn't that happen to be Jimmy Buffett's new boat in the hereafter?

Uh, I don' know nothin'!

Thought so.  So let's get on to our feature year of 1962- when I am just turning 129 days old...

129?  I was 118...

...Plus 10,000, don't forget the 10,000!  Anyway, our friends in Australia had Tommy Roe's Sheila at #1- which was #4 here this week.  Canada, however, was joining us with the Four Seasons and Sherry at the top!  Which brings us to the rather obvious (if you know me) winner of this week's Song I Wouldn't Turn Off- which was, of course, Sherry.  In addition to topping the two North American charts, it peaked at 3 in Australia.  The others in my top 3:

Bobby Vinton's Roses Are Red, a #1 on all three charts that was on the way down here at #56;

And Second, Neil Sedaka's Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, which struggled elsewhere on our list (24 Canada, 48 Australia, but was a #1 here, on it's way down this week at #24.

Meanwhile back in whatever the heck year this is, we have a new debut at #9 this week from the boy who brought ya Trippin' Over Air, earlier this year.  Here's Aiden Bissett:

**********************************************************

Well, you haven't lost your touch at the video board!  Let me squeeze in here and give the top ten this week.

Ya wouldn't haveta squeeze if ya'd lose some... HEY!  You an' Misty ate without me!

You were docking your boat, Big Guy!  Anyway...

10- Suddenly by BORNS slips a pair...
8- Casting Crowns up a spot with Praise You In This Storm...
7- down 2 for Bethany Cosentino's Easy...
6- down 4 for the no-longer resurgent A Little Bit Happy by Talk...
5- down one for Cole Swindell's She Had Me At Heads Carolina...
4- down on for Mikaela Davis and Far From You...
3- bounding up 4, Jason Isbell and the boys with Save The World...
2- also up 4, Whitney with their new biggest hit, Kansas...

And holding them off in the top spot for a second week...

...Smash Mouth and Underground Sun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. It's good to know that Misty is back to her old self, even if it is hard on you, "Dad". ☺

Your local band, Loveseat, has a pretty good beat.
