Whale trap

This last one is our funny story of the day.  Scrappy, tired as could be, saw something- and RAN after it!  What was it?  Well, there was a robin directly between us and whatever Scrappy saw.  I thought he was after the bird.  So did the robin.  But when it took off, I saw something dive down a hole, presumably after he also figured out Scrappy wasn't after the robin.  This dog was going one foot per 15 seconds prior to this, and had legs going out from under him.  If I'd have let him, he'd have gotten so tangled....

  1. Great pictures!! So what was that in the tree with those lumps on it?
Poor Scrappy, at least he fell while having an adventure.

  2. Beautiful walk!

We were driving along the local Dogwoods Trail, admiring the blooms, and saw a huge fox. It was absolutely gorgeous and not the least bit scared of us. Like a dork, I couldn't take the picture fast enough.

--LOVE that one squirrel pic where he's looking RIGHT at you!
--Scrappy CAN run...when he wants (has) to.
--Glad you had a good walk...great to be out in communion w/ nature seeing God's wonders (and crazy critters).
