So I went to my last picture post and found that I haven't put up pics since the 5th. Then I went to my roll and found I didn't take any more since the 18th (a week ago yesterday). So that's where we begin...
Still not back to those pre-dawn starts, lol |
Dandelions and violets coming in |
And these tiny white guys, too |
Seconds after 3 squirrels started playing on this tree, and seconds before the one lowest ran right into the butt of the one you can see |
"You must be kidding!" |
My favorite time of year- the dance of the little flowers |
Good morning, Fort Wayne! |
The beginning of a fun morning of watching the buzzards play |
On the big hill |
Yes, I was sitting down on a branch |
There ended up 3 pairs altogether. They were having a time! |
The only one I could catch of three of 'em playing |
Next we go to... ah, here it is, a rather boring Easter Sunday walk...
Well, this was new... |
This one, too- it busted into 3... |
Those were pretty |
Next, we go to... a Tuesday evening jaunt...
Doggie at full throttle |
The PFW rowing team and their coaches |
The clear path through the hidden trail |
Something we didn't see a lot last year, the Duck Pond being a pond |
Of course a stop at Scrappy's Landing for a swim |
Somewhere on the way back, we ran into a kid that told us we just missed three beavers by the creek about a half hour before. IDK if he could tell a beaver from a 'skrat, but that is where we have seen one a few years back...
Which brings us to... yesterday:
Slightly cool light breeze, kinda humid- and at 0715, our earliest start in a while |
He was singing at us |
Anthills have sprung to life |
Here, the color of spring is purple |
I just saw some tweet that claimed "Experts have been lying to us" that dandelions are harmful and must be destroyed. Not only have I never heard that, but I grew up in a family that combed the yard for dandelion greens as soon as the snow melted. |
Ah, the green... |
Later in the day, I tumbled onto a site that, if you downloaded your picture, it would tell you what kind of dog you are. It said I was most Bassett Hound, followed by English Bulldog and Bloodhound (because of my "rugged hat", lol) |
A rare occasion Misty was interested in a squirrel |
Oreo and Daddy |
Misty watching another squirrel run down the trail |
That would be the one |
Getting a big bunch of stuff for the nest |
Finally got to sit on the new benches. Misty was cool with chillin'... |
...for about a minute and a half |
Looking for something in the Swamp |
It looks like we have shifted from underwear to socks on the trail |
Laurie paused ADAM-12 to eat lunch. I took one look and said, "Darn it, Malloy, you stinky bastard!" |
Finally, we close with me and KC in our Bob's Bar regalia...
I would be some sort of "yappy" dog, most likely. I was wondering where the pictures were.
ReplyDeleteWell, lots of rain, a run of being sick, and a lack of inspiration until Spring sprung...
DeleteLooks like spring has sprung in your neck of the woods! We are finally seeing some signs as well. Trying to picture what a Bassett Hound/Bulldog/Bloodhound looks like made me laugh. ☺ Bob's Bar must be a fun place. Cheers! 🍻
ReplyDeleteWell with a clientelle so far of two, it doesn't get too crazy...
DeleteI liked these photos
ReplyDeleteCool!
