Instead of music this week, that is. We took a Thursday early walk to avoid the severe storms later on that never happened...
What in the world is this thing? |
Aw, someone spread petals for us... |
THAT'S what that thing was! More on this later... |
I never knew they set up practice dummies for soccer... |
These are new... |
Wow, a Baltimore Oriole! Maybe the third I've seen here in 11 years... |
The asphalt mothership |
Hmm... I never heard of these guys! Apparently, they are " |
northeast Indiana's only total design build site contractor"...
Dew on the weeds |
And what is this? |
"Who cares? Let's walk!" |
Pausing to let lady and doggie go by... |
...followed by hubby and doggie |
A lot of these down the back road |
And these perfume the whole woods |
"I love nature!" |
Now this morning- the day I begin my 63rd journey around the sun...
It looked like a foot |
A lot of perfume from this one, too |
Good to know |
Spit bugs out |
These new guys are everywhere |
I thought at a distance it was a varmint, but it was just a squirrel- a squirrel who, seconds later, got dive bombed by a small hawk |
Misty still searched for varmintage |
Good morning, Big Guy |
First mosquito that did more than light. He didn't do much after, either |
Planting trees on the road near Alumni Center |
Misty senses varmintage again... |
...but found nada |
The landing before we arrived... |
...and after |
Apparently someone no longer wanted their boat's built in sink... |
Hunting froggies |
Ha ha, Misty, you missed one |
Goslings and Mom |
Apparently the "hot asphalt" was just patching sections |
First Goldfinch I saw this year I missed, but got the Missus |
Happy Birthday to you! (A little late) 🎉 It's interesting, all the weird objects you find on your walks. A sink?! And I wonder what that warning label was for. Anyway, enjoy the rest of your vacation. Misty must love it that you're home.
ReplyDeleteThat's always been the fun part of walks. Scrappy and I were more fortunate in that regard- I'll hopefully pin it on a decrease in trash-dumping...
DeleteLooks like a good walk, I enjoyed it
ReplyDeleteWe did, too!
