Vacation part 2

So Sunday finished with a quick stop at the bookstore and a longer stop to visit Laurie's sis and bro-in-law, niece and boyfriend, and the baby bump that will make Laurie a 6th-time great aunt in January. Then home, the race, and general relaxation.

Monday morning walk came next, 7 AM Monday:

Neighbor's bumper mushroom 'crop'

Lots of doggie walks on a Monday...

So, my question is, even in the height of soccer season, the fields provided no porta-pots.  Did the Bosnians rent their own?

Like I said, lots of doggies

The deer weren't in the 'usual spot.  They were, however, at the river.

"Hey, what are you lot doing?"

"Looking at you lot..."

"Don't look at me, I'm not involved."

Soon, back at the ravine...

more shrooms

Misty thinks there's something in the ravine- or somewhere...

As it turns, she was hearing a beautiful chocolate Lab romping through the woods.  It was only after we came around to the water puddles and she got a drink that I saw the Lab.  in a bigger puddle about five yards off the trail, just splish splashing.  Amazingly, Misty never noticed her...

The Bosnians were a tad messy.  An aluminum pan with tinfoil wrap semi attached to one side, hat and shirt another...

After 3 walks in as many days, someone is getting tuckered...

"Oh, wait!  Daddy's never shown you our back way home! You start by going the other way up the hill...

"Then, I gotta look for that teeny tiny trail...

"Here it is!

"Then you go through here...

"And ta-da!  We're almost home!"

Home at last, complete with a little boy hand-print on the door...

  1. She probably ignored the other dog, which dogs will do sometimes.

I like the weeping willow tree. I used to have them at home on the farm, but the water table fell and we lost them all.

Looks like you had a good doggie-walk!

    1. Her, ignore a doggie? Perish the thought. She was just too oblivious in the hunt to notice the loud splashing (loud enough I thought we scared a deer) that she was already past.
