You'll understand the title when we get to the last part...
Sunday
It was 34F when we got up. So we waited till after the post lunch nap... when it was 36. |
Bright... and oddly hazy |
See? Hazy. |
"Daddy, Daddy! A doggie! A doggie!" |
Even a little cloud across the sun dropped the temps to, "I wish I'd have worn another layer..." |
Just to prove there still is a river. Too cold for Misty to be interested. |
Monday
Rained last night, still feels like it |
Looks like it, too |
This poor doggie must be old... owner had to lift him out of the car. But once out, he ran for joy- not gracefully, but joyfully! |
Not really warm enough to lose yer shirt, dude |
"NOW it's river time!" |
A long way to a shallow wade |
Practicing my 'moving targets'. This also comes in handy later. |
Misty observing her kingdom from the Big Hill up by Coliseum |
The deer's path through extreme South Canal |
Things you don't notice with all those leaves |
Misty thinks she hears something |
Tuesday
"This is more like it!" |
Except for the wind... Misty's ears aren't real happy |
NOW can she find the hidden path? |
Looking good... |
...and voila! |
And a dip at Scrappy's Landing |
A couple of shots of Stony Run crossing the mud flats |
Seriously? You're gonna lose a used, but nice, leather jacket? |
Checked for ID, no dice. UPDATE: It had been retrieved by Wednesday |
Just taking a look. One dip is enough! |
Checking out the afternoon traffic |
Downtown from Mushroom Ridge. |
And Wednesday....
3PM and back to overcast |
That tree is staring at us |
Doggie senses discers |
Don't Drink and Disc.... |
Oh, did I mention we have the Return of the Mole Who Hit The Rock? |
Ice on the pooled up west side of the bridge |
"Yippie! It's mixed drink season again!" |
Lotsa mud, little river |
"Wait, Daddy, what's that???" |
A BALD EAGLE! My first! |
Later, we interrupted the duck double-date... |
You say these are American pictures but how do we know, you may have snuck into Canada and took them, this Aussie gal wouldn't know the difference, ok nice photos why someone would leave a shirt hanging over the fence I don't know I guess they were just forgetful, easier to remove a jacket and leave it behind. Then there are the bird shots those I like because I find birds likeable.
ReplyDeleteYou caught me I crossed the open borders into Canada on foot 500 miles to bring you to bring you pictures of a neighborhood exactly like mine, lol!
