How about this? I have time and inclination to do a music post but... no back-up story??? So I guess I'll kinda manufacture a couple of things to go with it.
#10 this week as last week, Beach Bunny's Just Around The Corner. New at #9 is the Beths...
So my first thought was, let's see how the Songs of Summer Race is going so far...

It's only July, but our current SOS leader would be 19th on the all time SOS list so far. Here are the previous Songs of Summer...

If you've been keeping track, you know we have 2 more songs in this week's M10. Matt Berry moves up 4 to #3 with Stay On The Ground; and the new #1....
I know a lot of the songs I like are sort of obscure, and after my Morgan Wallen stats last week, I thought I'd show you just how obscure. Here is this weeks M10, ranked by plays on Spotify...
10- My #1, Broken Hearts, at 47.1K
9- My #3, Stay On The Ground, at 73.2K
8- My #2, Here To Stay, with 93.8K

Till next time...
I admire how organized you are with all of this, but I miss Elvis, Nardole, et al. Sorry, not impressed with the AI fakery of Velvet Sundown. This doesn't bode well for the entertainment industry.
ReplyDeleteI miss them, too, but old age (my excuse) just was making a joy into a job. Honestly didn't know VS was ai, just liked the song. But, from the consumer side, it "all plays the same". If they can't translate it to live, their loss. Much like a lot of the early 70's stuff with non-existent bands being cobbled together to tour for hit singles by studio acts.
DeleteI get that! When blogging feels more like a chore than fun, it's definitely time to change things up. I guess you have a point about the consumer side, but, call me old-fashioned, I can't help feeling duped somehow. And I love that live music experience more than anything. ☺
DeleteSome of these I know, some of them I don't know but that's how life is
ReplyDeleteYes ma'am!
DeleteI am from a different era, yikes 😬 I don't think I know any of these. I like Elvis, Abba, The Beatles, Chicago, yeah...guess they are called oldies and Disco.
ReplyDeleteElvis and Chicago have both made it into the 10 at times. The rule here is, "As long as I never heard it before putting it in the shuffle." That makes a mix of (so far) anywhere from new stuff to 1959...
