Who's dumber, sex legislation edition

'If you're going to legislate our bodies, then we have every right to propose legislation to regulate yours'

So here we have Georgia Democratic state Rep. Dar'shun Kendrick.  A typical pro-choice 'let's go over the top' liberal, she was offended by the state legislature's attempt to stem the murder of defenseless preborn babies, since until it's able to pop out and run away from the doctor, "It's part of my body."  What she did, though, to express that outrage was to propose something designed to be ridiculous- the "Testicular Bill of Rights", also known by the tag line above the picture.

Now I said it was designed to be ridiculous- but if you REALLY want to look at what she's saying, maybe it makes a bit of sense.  Consider: we have a LOT of laws that control the 'common sense' of daily life, to protect us from those who would  abuse common sense to their own pleasure or benefit.  And if we look at these proposals, they do fit that bill.  CAVEAT:  I am not proposing enacting any of this, just saying that in the attempt to be vindictive and stupid, she might have actually made some good points.

I did say, "MIGHT HAVE".

So let's have a look at the proposals in the TBOR, shall we?

Before men can get Viagra or or "any erectile dysfunction medication," they have to get permission from their sexual partners.

This might be the weakest of the proposals.  If we lived in a world where marriage was actually respected, it would be a no-brainer, though.  Brings up a debate on whether we make laws based on where society SHOULD BE, or where it IS.  In the world we have, though, you'd have a helluva time enforcing this.  Guys would end up paying their moms and their sisters to sign their "viagra card" for money.

Vasectomies are banned, and doctors who perform them are charged with crimes.

Okay, I changed my mind, THIS is the weakest of the proposals, and calls into question whether she's trying to eliminate restrictions on a woman's right to vacate or prevent pregnancy, or she's trying to eliminate sex altogether.  Of course, this could be a sop to the liberal Catholics who ignore the Church's demand they be pro-choice but respect the stand on banning birth-control.

It's "aggravated assault" for men to have sex without condoms.

Now, you think about this.  Condoms are a great defense against STDs.  If you ignore the logic-split between the last one and this one, it's not a terrible idea.  However, I'd add a clause charging her with statutory rape if she demands he "go bareback".

Paternity testing is required between six and eight weeks of pregnancy — and then fathers-to-be must start paying child support "IMMEDIATELY."

YES.  100%.  And with this implicit admission that it IS a baby at 6-8 weeks, the end of abortions beyond this point.  Honestly, I have NO problem with the concept of preborn child support, but if she wants it that way, it's gonna cost her.  I wonder if she's dropped this one (or modified it) yet...

Men who want to purchase porn or sex toys must endure a 24-hour waiting period.

Why not a 24-YEAR waiting period?  This one proves she gave this NO thought, because how many men go to a brick-and-mortar for this junk anymore instead of the internet?  I have no problem with her targeting porn, but this proposal has all the teeth of a "Please Do Not Litter" sign.

UPDATE:  HB 604 was introduced to the Georgia legislature by the above lunatic and 4 other lunatics.  Honest-to-Bob, what I am about to paste here is right off the legislature's webpage:

Any male 55 years of age or older shall immediately report to the county sheriff or local
law enforcement agency when such male releases sperm from his testicles."

So I've been sitting here trying to formulate a credible response to this for the last few minutes.  I guess the only thing I can say is, considering where she/they were going with this, is that the word "white" wasn't inserted between 'any' and 'male', where it was implicit.

Okay, so we understand: you're liberal, you're 'feminist', you're 'pro-choice', you're bigoted, and you're snarky.  Got it.  Now, if you could just quit playing with your position like a scolded three-year-old and

---Somehow, I had a distinct feeling WHERE you were goin' with this.
---I know you must feel trepidation every day when you wake up...and read, see or hear about the sheer LUNACY that comes from the mush-filled craniums of some primates out there.
    It surely boggles the mind.
A shame this woman plays the "blame card" for what would appear to be her mindset).
I do agree with the points you make, and for the same reasons.
---Now, if we could JUST get many of the minority males in our various ghettos to learn to "keep it in their pants" and get a JOB, like any procreative member of society, that would be a good start.
It doesn't rid us of rapists, abusers, and sundry other miscreants, but someone might have to (sooner or later) think for those who shirk such a basic concept OF life (of any race, color, ethnicity or religion).
Yeah, asking for the moon there...I know.

    Very good post.

Stay safe (and Viagra-free) up there, brother.
