A new one on me- looked like a raspberry, but comes at the end of a single stalk.  Did I try it? Hard no.

The camera did no justice (even after playing with the shading) to how dark the woods was.

These are those other little stand-alones I could never figure out what they were.  But this eerie pic captures more what the woods was actually like.

Daisies all over the Back Road

With a break in the dozen-and-a-half or so disc golfers, we decided to cut over the hill for a change.

More daisies, on Mushroom Ridge.  Scrappy and I gave it its name our first year here, when it was covered in shrooms.  Haven't seen a one in the decade since.  If we;d have first came there today, it would have been "Daisy Ridge".

Only thing shakin' at the Swamp was the golfinches

Goldfinches from the Swamp halfway up the canal. After that, it was Swallow dive bombing zone
