This morning, Misty didn't want to get up. A bunny in her poopy spot barely got her to move her head. Passed out all through church. But let me put shoes on, indicating a last vacation walk, and...

Suddenly- a VARMINT!

Actually, there were two of these baby groundhogs- one kept back the other was in 'defend to the death' mode, advancing AT Misty! The one eventually snuck up behind the tough guy, watched for a second, and went off to hide. Tough Guy? Never gave an inch. All I could to keep Misty away from him- or vice versa...

Now, this heron was a funny story. Flew out over the woods... seconds later, he flew back the other way, shouting, "Gronk, gronk!" (Which apparently is heron for, "They lied, there's no pond in the woods! @#%$^%ers!")

DeleteWe hit high 80s here this week. The "kids" stayed in the AC for the two days, and since Keeks couldn't figure out how to open her cat door on the catio, she went stir crazy for about 48 hours. Fast forward to the last two days where it's been rainy and 40s. We're supposed to gain some sense of normalcy this week so she'll be able to get out some of her energy basking in her lounge, but until then, she's driving us all a bit bonkers. Sorry to see your vacation's over. Here's hoping there's a slow, relatively easy, re-entry process.
